On one of my trips to Japan, I spent quite a bit of time in Nippori. Tucked away, in a tiny shop on the main street, was a shop specializing in buttons and beads. They had a few jewelry finds as well. One of many things I bought on that visit, was a set of earrings base shaped like flowers. I totally forgot these findings until I was sorting through my stash.

The store packaged each type of item you bought in a little plastic bag with card stock printed with vintage inspired images.

I added some leaf beads on pins to the bases to embellish the earrings. The beads are made of shell and I bought them at Pasadena Bead and Design Show about five years ago.

The earrings are simple and cute. They were really easy to put together and I’m so happy I found these in my stash again.
